We needed this bright spot

Still on 6. Tate doesn’t ever quite fit anywhere easily. She requires so many different specialists that it’s sometimes difficult to find the inpatient teams that feel comfortable with where to put her. So we wait while her outpatient specialists call a care conference to get all the inpatient teams up to speed. We’ll head to 7 maybe Thursday or Friday.

But this happened today which was a spur of the moment big deal. Tate has trouble even walking to the bathroom and is currently too weak to stand long enough to brush her teeth. So when she said she wanted to ride a bike, everyone was on it….silly helmet and all. This ended with smiles I haven’t seen in weeks and even a few high fives. We needed this bright spot today. I’m so thankful for the little things. She’s absolutely wiped from it today, but it’s a definite win!

Tate is fighting the g tube feeds and bought herself a couple more days by eating 1/2 a bagel and some fruit today. Not enough by her teams standards, but better than the day before.
