Pulmonary Function Testing

Days 25&26

Pulmonary Function Testing this morning. Last big test in preparation for BMT. We don’t have a set date yet. Hopefully that will become concrete this week.

Today and yesterday have been tough again with pain. Meds actually were increased and the decision was made by the pain team to just leave things be rather than continue to decrease her dilaudid usage. She’s just so miserable and pain seems to be increasing. They’ll work with where she’s currently at and have plans with how to deal with the increased pain from BMT once we’re there.

G tube feeds were increased today. Tates appetite unfortunately has been headed in the opposite direction and she’s just not able to take in enough nutrition. This takes some of the pressure off. With the water boluses in addition, it’s challenging for her to eat as she often feels full. Kind of a tough cycle but nutrition is so important headed into transplant.
