It’s been a bit. There’s been a lot going on and sometimes there just isn’t mental/emotional space to put words together.
Last week we had blood cultures drawn for Tate due to her just feeling lousy. Lots of sleeping and some extra nausea. Migraines and just lots of yuck.
Grandma B visited last weekend from WI. Due to both girls not feeling well, we just relaxed at home. I appreciated a coffee partner and the extra company to work on a puzzle with.
Keira…
Her health has been so challenging and especially of late. With permission to share…after an ER visit Sat night with a full trauma response to a BP of 53/32 and HR of 40, loss of consciousness and convulsions, symptoms on repeat since, the inability to be upright and just looking lousy, we landed in an admission after a telehealth with her neurologist sent us through the ER of her affiliated hospital.
Keira has had lots of tests with more brewing. Today, due to a low cortisol level, we learned she likely has Addisons disease. We’re honestly devastated by this. Tate also has adrenal insufficiency. This is the most difficult and scary aspect to Tate’s care. It is serious and rare and hard to fathom both of our girls will live with this forever. We are still praying against this and asking for an easier answer to her low cortisol and resolution to these debilitating and scary symptoms.
