Happy Easter! Christ has risen no matter where you are celebrating! Easter is my very favorite! It was different being in the hospital but we heard the same beautiful message via livestream. Tim and Keira came to the hospital with an Easter sushi picnic. We got Tate outside for a bit but the wind moved us to the cafeteria. While we were downstairs, Caroline, childlife superstar, decorated Tate’s room with streamers and birthday signs and had gifts wrapped and ready for a belated Birthday celebration (she was in the ICU on her actual Birthday.) Tates CA, Tiffany, decorated a cake for her and everyone came in singing and playing instruments. (See the video in the comments.) It was so much fun and just felt like the perfect joyful way to wrap up Easter. We handed out little Easter boxes to all the staff and just had fun sharing the joy.
Tate was pretty wiped out by the time we got to cake so we saved some for another day. I hope your Easter was filled with the joy of knowing that Jesus’ rising wipes clean any trials you may be facing. His love for you is endless shown by his sacrifice and resurrection. I couldn’t help but imagine Sean in the middle of the most beautiful celebration today. Blessed Easter to all of Tate’s tribe.
