Day 111
Post BMT +49
This photo is significant! Not because of the faithful blue bag companion, but because if you look closely you’ll see NO lines attached to Tate. This was only temporary, but the taste of freedom was lasting! Tate hasn’t experienced this since July!
Tate has unhappy kidneys and an unhappy liver. So…unfortunately the new med that seemed to help a bit with the pain had to be stopped. We’re hoping Tate’s labs improve overnight. One more uptick in her kidney levels and she’ll be in acute kidney injury.
Her liver is unhappy from the tpn and lipids. We are going to run those only overnight tonight along with a trickle g tube feed to see how Tate’s stomach handles that. Lasix has also become pretty regular for Tate with all the fluid retention. Both last night and again this evening, even a few bites of food cause her body to pick a path out. Hoping the trickle will help wake up her stomach with a little time. She’s trying so hard to get past this GI hurdle.
Tate has big plans to go outside tomorrow for PT and OT. Praying her body allows her to reach her goals.
