Our nurses are amazing, the docs are too…

Day 9: Pain! Pain! Pain! Frustrating and feeling defeated is starting to set in. Just increased her morphine dose and now giving every two hours on top of the oxy and everything else. Insurance denied the pain patch. Trying to get it filled so we can just pay out of pocket. I was so hopeful these mega steroid doses would work…they’re not…..yet. Tates now got electrical compression stockings on as she hasn’t been out of bed in 9 days. Back on fluids because she’s still not drinking well or eating. Trying to keep my frustrations directed at the disease and not her hardworking team. It’s hard to have the docs you trust off and feel like you’re starting over with a new team. Our nurses are amazing, the docs are too…Tates situation is just tough. Praying for peace, grace and patience this morning. And of course, pain relief for Tate.
