We are still home, but spent the day at Children’s for appointments today. Tate’s pump refill was challenging today. Her pump sits at an angle which sometimes makes accessing that little tiny diaphragm really difficult. NP Jen and nurse Paul make a great team. Paul offered Tate his hand to squeeze and Tate did just that. And then Jen ordered up zofran for nausea and let Tate sleep in the exam room before our next appointment. So much extra kindness.
We saw a new provider today too as part of the fertility preservation clinic. Theres no “preservation” happening, but just dealing with the aftermath of all that chemo and BMT took away. We loved this new NP and feel good about her plans to better optimize Tate’s care.
Tate isn’t feeling well at all. Pain, nausea and unrelenting unusual migraines are giving her trouble. She finished her last 24 hours of antibiotics so she should be in good shape, but something isn’t right. We’re really wishing we would’ve gotten that inpatient brain MRI. Please pray her body can just get ahead of whatever she’s dealing with. She’s feeling weary and we just want to stay home.
