Same position, new view. Last night they pumped Tate full of two IV antibiotics. One of them is for resistant gram positive bacteria and one shes never been on. Infectious disease is concerned this could be unresolved infection from the Pre Christmas admission. We received two bacteria types back finally after Christmas and in reality, probably would’vehad a longer and different treatment had we known sooner.

We had a couple things working in our favor to go home and wait on blood cultures…..a Dr. that didn’t fully understand Tate, a busy ER and hospital full of Flu A kids and an ER team that was impressed by all we do at home and deferred to me. SO happy to come home despite BP’s of 80/40’s.

Tate didn’t have the best night again last night, although not as bad. She slept all day and we really hoped she would wake up feeling so much better. She’s still feeling lousy and her legs are really bothering her.

Some days the daily grind catches up and to process how much Tate continually suffers is just hard. Too much for too long. And so much is done with a smile for the benefit of everyone else.
