Day 12

Tate’s tumor is benign! SO much to give thanks for. Her entire team was concerned we’d land in a different place and the relief and joy is palpable. We don’t have a lot of answers, but currently this is the only one that matters. Thank You for all the prayers. Today, prayers were answered.

Today, Tate lost another deep, long catheter line as it infiltrated (vessel gets leaky and fluid/meds goes into the tissue instead of the bloodstream,) we signed surgery consents, worked with PT, saw a million providers, had a sweet dog visit and more. The hard stuff doesn’t feel so hard now.

Tomorrow, Tate will undergo anesthesia for the 4th time this admission for her new central line. From there, we have 3 days of ivig, a decision on next steps for her lungs and another 4 weeks of IV antibiotics. But those, we know we can manage at home. No discharge date yet, but it’s coming….
