4 years! Today is a day to
cell ebrate! It’s hard to believe it’s been 4 years since Tate’s bone marrow transplant. A time filled with grief and joy, hope and pain, but above all gratitude to our God above and to Tate’s sweet donor, Patrick. He and his beautiful wife live in Dallas. Getting there to meet him is on Tate’s bucket list.
We have a busy medical week again. We’ve been working with hospice on both them figuring out what Tate’s world looks like and for us with what they can do for her. They saved us another ER trip/admission Sat night. Tate was in terrible pain and nausea has been a beast again at times. There’s a lot more flexibility in how much and how many medications can be used to make her comfortable. It worked, and she’s still home for back to back Birthday weeks. Bmt this week and Neato 19! next week. (If any of her inpatient nurses are reading this incognito, I hope that brought a giggle. We miss you! )
