Day 41
Today was made so much better by the people in our lives.
We had a favorite nurse and Aunt Jen flew in for Tate’s Birthday tomorrow. Tate had lots of activity in her room today and felt so much love from so many here. Tomorrow she’s going to be reminded just how much her Tribe loves her because…
You Guys!!!!! That wish list was completely emptied out. Tate doesn’t know yet, but I am so incredibly humbled and moved by the love and generosity. I actually feel almost embarrassed that Tate is receiving so many gifts for her Birthday. I truly was just trying to simplify for the few that asked. I didn’t anticipate this at all.
On top of that, we’ve received some gift cards for food places and DoorDash that truly make life better and easier. Most days we eat the hospital provided food (Tates tray often feeds us both.) It is so fun to order something different and delicious. Thank you!
Medically….We turned up the ketamine and removed a small fentanyl patch. Tate isn’t reporting much difference in pain, but she had a better day with all the fun faces in front of her. And so far, no ketamine crazy. She had blood cultures drawn as she had a fever last night.
