Saw the Pups
Day 42:
Todays surprise was that Tate got to come outside and see her pups! She now gets an hour outside a day away from all people and is only allowed to be with Tim, Keira or I. Not all of her Docs are super comfortable with her being out of the BMT unit, but we are grateful they are willing to fight the fear! The benefits for Tate far outweigh the risks! Now pray hard that she doesn’t pick anything up!
An hour doesn’t sound long, but Tate was wiped about 45 minutes in and ready to go back up. The ketamine was turned off this morning and she’s hurting pretty good tonight. I’m amazed at her grit though and she’s become a master at distraction. Legos and craft kits help tremendously. Thank you Tribe for all the “distractions” that continue to show up. We are grateful!
Eating was a bigger challenge today, but we think she made it….we’ll know tomorrow!
