Day 17
Today turned out to be such a pleasant day and a good change of pace for both Tate and I. Keira came down early this morning and I was able to take the car back home for the day. I’m so grateful for an amazing team of nurses, knowing they’ll advocate for anything that pops up for Tate (alongside Keira )
At home it felt great to do the simple things….I did laundry, got together Easter Baskets for the kids, put together some nursing station baskets, had an actual hot shower, coffee in a mug, and a million little things as I soaked in time with Tim, Drew and the dogs. I took the dogs for a walk and was blown away to see our lilacs blooming and all the bulb Flowers showing their brilliance. It’s amazing what a couple weeks can do. Perfect timing for Easter!
Tate and Keira had a good day too playing video games, putting in tinsel for the nurses, ordering in subs and just hanging out. Keira said today felt like a healing day.
Yesterday we moved her cheek pain film to 4 times a day and she started the new biologic infusion. They don’t anticipate the updose in the film to reach higher levels until Monday. We are hoping it’s enough to get her off the dilaudid. Tate is still riding the post IVIG wave, but things will gradually settle down again.
Tonight is the last night to get in on the grand total for Tom & Jen. Tomorrow we’ll share the grand total with them and you. Thank you to all who’ve donated and who continue to pray for them. We can’t wait to share the final tally. You’re all amazing and we are SO excited!

Broncos players delivered an Easter Basket to Tate yesterday. They couldn’t come in due to Tate’s infection, so I missed a photo.
