Day 45
I woke up hopeful today as Tate seemed to have a better sleep last night. But after waking, and an attempt to get out of the room for a bit, it quickly became apparent Tate was feeling worse today. She had another pain crisis and emergency IV meds were given and her dilaudid that she gets every 3 hours was increased. Steps backward.
We aren’t sure what is making her feel so lousy. She was flirting with fever again this evening, but labs aren’t revealing much. Sometimes it takes those a minute to catch up for Tate.
We had nurse Rachel today and tonight Nurse Molly. Two favorites which are the bright spots today. And I was super thankful for our caring hospital team too. But hard not to feel a little defeated with today’s events.
Tomorrow is a new day.
