We had a whirlwind weekend and on Thursday headed to WY for Grandpa Toms funeral on Friday. It was a beautiful day filled with a mix of tears and lots of laughter with all the cousins and aunts and uncles. So much fun to see these cousins all together again. Tatum did amazingly well. She tried all kinds of food and was more animated and chatty than I’ve seen her in months and months. It was a beautiful way to pay tribute to both Tom and Sandy who started it all. The trip to WY involved a rental car about halfway there due to a little car trouble. But all worked out.

Saturday we headed home already and Tate woke feeling the effects of the day before. She slept the whole way home. Sunday we attempted church with all the kids being home. Tate only lasted about 20 minutes due to pain so TJ took her home. She has slept all day. I was still able to enjoy church with the other two. It was so nice being there after so many months away! But it definitely was filled with unfamiliar faces. Tate and I both look forward to getting there more regularly to no longer be the strangers.

With heavy hearts we also want to share that baby Chloe passed Thursday night. Dave, Katey and big sister Lizzy are each mourning in their own way while simultaneously thanking God for healing Chloe in heaven. Funeral plans are in process. Tim and I had the joy of sharing tears and laughter with them tonight. Our hearts hurts for their pain as we keep them close in prayer as they work towards building a life again without her. God has beautiful gifts in store as they look forward to welcoming their baby boy in December. Please keep them all in your prayers.
