**Im so behind responding to all the sweet messages. I do read every single one. Thank You for all the cheering us on, the love and the prayers. Your encouragement carries us on lots of difficult days! We love you!
Friday was a bit of a whirlwind and pretty touch and go as to if Tate was going to make prom. Low BP’s continued from discharge day, lots of nausea, headache and body aches. I’m so grateful for our arsenal of meds. If one nausea med doesn’t work, we move onto the next.
Our Denver hospice/palliative NP came by Friday am and chatted through some of the stressors we came out of the hospital with. Grateful for Ele! My sweet friend Mary, got us both in for hair and feeling a little refreshed after a long admission.
Tonight’s post is focused on prom. Tate has gone to hospital prom the last 3 years with her sweet friend Lexi. Lexi passed at home with hospice while Tate was in the hospital a bit over a month ago. Tate honored Lexi with a photo from last year along with Lexi bracelets which my friend Anne and her daughter Adlyn thought of. We wanted Lexi’s mom to know she isn’t forgotten. We you Tiffany and continue to pray for you.
This years PROM was a little different. Fewer familiar friend faces and a lot less stamina by Tate. But she made it almost the whole night and there were lots of familiar childlife hospital friends there. And of course, Keira is always present making sure Tate feels supported in all the ways. The girls looked beautiful and I’m so grateful for another year of memories. Thank you Children’s Colorado for giving the kids who don’t get to experience the traditional, something of their own.
