Day 56

We are home!

Today was long….low BP’s and a methadone refill delay until tomorrow could’ve held us up, but didn’t for too long. We got home a little after 5 PM. Home care deliveries, prescription pick ups and even a little Target therapy to pick up some nails for prom tomorrow were all part of getting us situated.

Tate’s BP is still low and the physical toll of today’s activity is evident. We are praying that she can hold steady through tomorrow. It feels so disappointing that BP’s are what they are today after so many weeks of being stable. We started to see the little blips a couple days ago and today it’s just not coming up. But tomorrow is a new day and they could turn right back around.

We ended up having another care conference yesterday including rheumatology and pain plus Tate’s case manager. It took a bit to figure out how to convert the biologic from a SubQ injection to IV. But ended up being the fastest, easiest CC we’ve ever had. Tomorrow, we’ll try out the home SubQ to IV conversion for the first time; in between hair, makeup and prom dress up of course.

We are so grateful to be home, no matter how many days we can string together. Thank you for loving and supporting us through this two month admission. We are blessed with so many amazing people in our life. And we already miss our nurses.
