I haven’t posted in awhile really just because I’m so tired. There’s been plenty of medical for both girls….another admission for Keira, ER visits, telehealth appointments with Mayo and local providers. And all the normal medical stuff for Tate.
Today brought wisdom teeth removal for Keira and Tate’s central line site is red, swollen, sore and oozing. Her team sent us to the ER and they’re admitting her on IV antibiotics while we wait to see which of the 5 cultures grow. It was amazing to me how quickly Tate felt worse and worse as the day went on. Keira is hanging in there with her dad and brother playing nurse. Her teeth were impacted into her jaw bone, which means she’s pretty sore and swollen. Time will heal.
Tim got to see TJ in between meetings in Milwaukee this last week, and my sister, Jen, showed up for a surprise visit while he was gone.
We are hoping for a short stay in the hospital with Tate but can’t say enough how grateful we are that it’s at Children’s with all our loved and familiar faces.
