Tate was able to resume PT and OT this week. It was so great to see both Abbey and Meg again. Tate really struggled to stay awake today during PT though. After Abbey left, a check of Tate’s BP gave the answer why…super low! Steroids and IV fluids brought it up enough for Tate to eventually wake up a bit and for me to feel like she was in a safer place .

Tate had labs drawn today from her homecare nurse and we learned she’s having to move on. We’ll be onto our 4th homecare nurse in the last year. Tates labs didn’t look great. And her central line has been giving us trouble with pain and clotting and tonight looks swollen around it. Thankfully we’re done with IV fluids today and can reassess tomorrow. Tomorrow brings a pain pump refill with another adjustment to the medications that go directly into Tate’s spine. We’re always praying for more improvement . Pain has been especially bad the last 24+ hours.

Monday Tate and I did some filming for an upcoming gala for Children’s Hospital. It was a fun, but emotional experience with the focus on the Family Resource Center. We got to hang out with Rachelle and Remi as they are also being filmed with the focus on the kids stories and our friendship. It was fun to get to meet up without one or both of ys being inpatient.

Friday is hospital Prom! Tate could use some extra prayers to get pain in check and that nothing new is brewing so that she can go and enjoy the evening.
