Day 8 (part 2)
Today consisted of trying to manage Tate’s pain, some recap discussions and a post surgery mri of her surgery site with yet another round of anesthesia. I’m so grateful Tate handles anesthesia like a champ.
Neurosurgery will come tomorrow to talk through these mri results and any other information they’ve gathered.
Labs continue to trickle in and the latest BAL lab shows no growth on those lung cultures. At first glance that seems to indicate the nodules are not infection, however, ID did say they may not grow due to starting antibiotics before the BAL. In all honesty, infection would be welcome at this point.
We were hoping for a quick pathology read on the mass that was removed last night. It’s a 3 day weekend though which slows everything down.
The fatigue level is currently thick. The level of concern is high. We are praying for our requests to be heard while trying to trust blindly.
