Day 9
There isn’t a whole lot factually to share tonight. The only new information we received when neurosurgery was in early this morning is that the culture of the mass hasn’t grown. I never thought I’d pray so hard for bacterial growth where it shouldn’t be.
Tate’s pain was bad bad today. She was flirting with a fever and just really miserable. We added a muscle relaxer this afternoon and that has made a huge difference. She’s already tucked in for the night at 7:30 and I’m really hopeful there will be more sleeping all around.
There’s a chance we’ll hear from pathology tomorrow. But the entire pathology read we were told would take a week, so full results by the end of the week if we’re lucky. What originally seemed like infection was to blame for so much is leaving us with a stubborn blood infection and a what is seeming to potentially be something much more sinister. We are still praying against that. We are feeling quite depleted.
