Weather was beautiful

Days 52 & 53

Yesterday the weather was beautiful so we were able to use Tate’s hour to love on her pups and Keira

Tate received a beautiful human hair wig from an organization called Children With Hair Loss. They use a photo to craft a wig to match the child’s pre-loss hair. Tate seeing that she can look like she wants softens the anticipation of losing her hair just a bit.

The butterflies and prayer chain were sent from the kids at St. Mark in Eau Claire, WI….my childhood church and school. Such a sweet gesture. We are so grateful for the prayers!

Today (Sunday) wasn’t such a great day. Pain and nausea were persistent. Tate is back on ketamine and is relying heavily on her dilaudid pca and boluses. We are grateful that transplant is close as pain continues to progress but are also working through the emotions that come with a short timeline. The fear is palpable.

A sweet mama I met up here (My first night here donut giving friend ) stopped by our room with her 9 year old son this evening. She wanted to give us some reassurance that some kids can do really well. He’s on his last day of transplant prep and was walking the unit with his pole in tow. It really was helpful to see him doing so well. His name is Nathan and he can also use your prayers as he fights for his life. His worst days are ahead of him yet. Hug your loved ones tonight and say a prayer of thanksgiving if your babies are healthy.

Life is so fragile. ❤️‍🩹
