Day 37
We made it to the weekend. We are ready for a couple quieter days. Tate was a little up and down today, but better pain-wise than yesterday. Both yesterday and today we noticed some new potential neuro symptoms with her eyes. We are content to just watch for a bit and see what evolves. Her last brain MRI was in Jan. Even though this seems to be changing, it’s hard to imagine there’s anything new that would show up.
Her pain pump was adjusted and increased, the methadone is still climbing and she used a smidge less dilaudid today. She worked with palliative and childlife and got a little painting in.
We got to hug Tim. Keira and Drew made it home safely from seeing TJ in Milwaukee and we had a lot of laughs with nurse Rachel today. To have a nurse that not only advocates and provides care, but also lots of love AND endless laughs is a gift. We you Roxy!
Tom update…His infusion was outpatient on Wednesday and went much more smoothly this round. They had him stay close to the hospital for a couple days just in case, but he and Jen made it home tonight. Even with tolerating everything much better, he still feels crummy and I know will appreciate continued prayers for recovery leading into the next infusion in a couple weeks.
