Days 38 & 39
We made some progress this weekend by turning up Tate’s IT pump, and increasing the methadone again tonight. Ivig started late this afternoon and will run until early morning. We were trying to hold off into next week, but Tate could feel she needed it, so we got it rolling. She’ll have it through Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning. Tate is finally starting to see some improvement in pain with all the med changes. We’re hoping to continue to optimize the pain management and are hoping the increased pain that comes with IVIG doesn’t derail the progress.
Tate did an orange taste testing today with Dr. Lo when she brought in an assortment to try with Tate. Everyone really works so hard to keep Tate’s spirits up and provide hospital distractions. We didn’t have any of our primary nurses all weekend, but met some kind, new faces and are grateful when the familiar ones stop in to say hello.
