Today felt long. It was emotional, exhausting and concerning.

Much of the day Tate wasn’t very rousable. We struggled to get her awake to swallow meds or answer questions or have a conversation. She would sit up and suddenly slump over, unresponsive. Her blood pressure was very low. This state continued for hours, even once her BP was brought up with fluids and meds. Her coloring was terrible and overall she just presented very poorly.

The good part was many providers saw her in that state, all were concerned and she had great nurses that advocated so well for her. Tate was put on EEG monitoring this evening until at least tomorrow evening. She’s had a much more awake afternoon, so now I hope we capture whatever there is to capture.

Tonight Tate is running a low grade fever again. Inflammation markers are high and she was pretty tachycardic.

She was NPO all day in case she went to surgery. It didn’t happen, so she’ll now have a combination procedure on Tuesday.

I sat through some really emotional and difficult conversations today. It’s really difficult to wrap my head and my heart around where things are and where they’re expected to go. The emotional fatigue on top of the physical fatigue feels beyond what I can carry. Thank you Jesus for carrying us when we are unable to make sense of what comes next.
